City Highs and VIP Lows…
When Manchester City’s Jack Grealish attended Oasis’ legendary homecoming extravaganza at Heaton Park, the football world was thrown into a dizzy conundrum spiraling faster than a wayward corner kick. The lad from the lands of Aston Villa has hinted that he’s ready to dance away from the Etihad (like a passerby dodging pigeons in Trafalgar Square) after spending more time warming the bench than the pitch!
The plot thickens: did the VIP section at the concert become a gladiatorial arena? Was Oasis itself the greatest matchmaker since the transfer window? Our hero Jack reportedly serenaded City fans louder than a stadium full of vuvuzelas, declaring his undying love for the club despite being as involved on the field as a cat in a dog show. Guv’nor Pep Guardiola was apparently in the same zone but occupied his time with more calming family pursuits, while City fan and Oasis superstar Liam Gallagher knighted Pep with the lyrical title of “The greatest manager of all time”.
Oasis turned out to be a gig of solitudes with footy allegiances stronger than that extra spicy curry at halftime. Witnesses marvelled as Jack and Pep orbited the Heaton Park cosmos without a single nod of interaction – almost like two stars unknowingly performing a celestial football dance! As the summer transfer buzz grows louder, Jack’s crooning affection for the club at the show makes one thing clear: even if he moves on, his heart might just always sing the sky-blue anthem.
