Manchester pays tribute along his final route
Greater Manchester lined the streets on Friday, October 10, as Ricky Hatton’s funeral procession traced 15 miles of landmarks from Gee Cross to Manchester Cathedral. Fans honoured the beloved world champion with heartfelt cheers—and probably more right hooks of emotion than in any weigh-in ever.
Stops included his favourite pubs, family-run New Inn with its dove release, and the gyms vital to his career before reaching the Etihad Stadium. Donations continue for men’s mental health causes and The Ricky Hatton Foundation, proudly carrying his fighting spirit forward.
