In a whirlwind of animated disbelief, footy icon Jamie Carragher went bananas when a cheeky supporter dared suggest a whopping £100 million price tag on Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton! With eyes popping like ping pong balls and voice reaching an octave only dogs could hear, Carragher cried foul. “£100m? For Adam Wharton? Lunacy, I tell you!” he bellowed, sparking a wildfire of laughter that could melt the darkest of frowns.
