Manchester City agrees on James McAtee’s move…
James McAtee is ready to swap his Manchester City shirt for Nottingham Forest greens after a pricetag that would scare even the Monopoly Man away was agreed at £30m. The 22-year-old dazzled at City and even made Gary Neville think he was watching a sci-fi flick of “David Silva clones” on the field. After charging through his youth success, McAtee went on loan like a backpacker discovering himself, only to score seven goals on his return, more than four other people in the entire universe.
The Manchester club decided McAtee could captain England’s Under-21s to glory in Europe better than attend the Club World Cup. Surprisingly, Forest was stickier than a toddler with candy at the negotiation table and got City down from their mad £40m asking price! Not even German clubs, who surely believed they were bidding in magical gnome gold, were ready to match it. But Forest held firm and snagged him for £30m. City will face off against McAtee’s new adventure crew come December 27, with Etihad hosting him on March 4 for a Premier League reunion party.
