Trafford Chooses City Over Other Offers…

James Trafford considered his options this summer, contemplating a move from Burnley while receiving an offer from Newcastle. Despite rumors that Manchester City’s call is like an invitation to a magical kingdom, Trafford really had to think it through. Ultimately, he decided to head home to the Etihad amid a goalkeeping conundrum. “I’ve been here about two weeks and it’s been more thrilling than a roller coaster ride,” Trafford shared with reporters after his £27m move.

Trafford has certainly grown, not only towering at 6ft6 but also through his bumpy journey at Burnley, Accrington, and Bolton. Returning to City, he’s up for replacing Ederson and making history as City’s first re-bought player to succeed. Reflecting on his football adventures, Trafford mentions, “Every new place feels like wandering into a lion’s den, but I’ve faced more challenges than a cat herder in a windstorm.” Known for his 29 clean sheets helping Burnley’s Premier League return, Trafford now aims to secure his place at City and hopes to support England too.
