Toffees Tempt Walker Again?…

In a plot twist worthy of an over-the-top football motion picture, Kyle “Lightning Bolts” Walker is rumored to be dribbling into Everton’s arms once again. Picture this: Everton and Manchester City playing tug-of-war with Walker’s right foot like it’s the last meat pie on the planet. But alas, Walker has already fashioned a dĂ©jĂ  vu snub ensemble for the Toffees, as he once sidestepped a potential move to Goodison Park to waltz into Tottenham’s arms back in the days of yore.

Turns out our boy Kyle is on the brink of packing his bags and bidding adieu to the Etihad. Pep Guardiola, aka the maestro of football, has left the 35-year-old sprinting whiz out of the Club World Cup squad. Walker’s mysterious Italian job at AC Milan last season didn’t quite have him scoring pizza goals. Despite not exactly tangoing through Serie A, Everton has been eyeing him like a young footballer eyes a shiny new pair of boots.

Back in the mists of time, when summer camps in Devon sounded promising, Everton’s bid never boomeranged to Walker’s ears. Poor chap Naughton got the full invitation to Moyes’ Palace of Promises, leaving Walker with a Spurs-sized chip on his shoulder. “If I can’t get to Moyes’ castle, I might as well conquer Spurs’ sandy kingdoms,” quoth Walker once upon an October podcast. And lo, Walker’s legend grew, culminating in a grand ÂŁ50 million Etihad escapade in 2017!
