Manchester City: Profit Kings, Loss Legends!…
City Football Group, the proud owners of the blingtastic Manchester City, just realized they’ve smashed through the £1bn losses ceiling quicker than you can say “financial fair play”! Founded in 2013 by Sheikh Mansour, CFG was meant to be the football emperor with its 13-club galaxy, but so far, it’s a fiscal fiasco of fantastic proportions.
With Man City being the jewel in their crown – a club that wins trophies faster than most people change socks – you’d think CFG would be rolling in the moolah. True, City conquered the Premier League, raking in record revenues of £715million, but it seems other CFG clubs like Girona and NYCFC didn’t get the memo about making money!
Yet, despite their goals and glories, CFG’s success on the pitch hasn’t exactly matched their balance sheet ambitions. Manchester City may be reigning supreme, but the rest of the CFG kingdom seems to be metro-diving through cash. Maybe CFG should consider a new strategy: recruiting a few accountants before any new strikers. Who knows? They might even get halfway decent at culture cash dribbling! Stay tuned as the soap opera continues!
